American-style gambling is a global bread winner for Trans World. The company, which focuses on small and midsized casinos and gaming parlors, owns and operates four niche casinos that feature slot machines and gaming tables in the Czech Republic. The casinos operate under the name American Chance Casinos and feature themes from different eras of US history (Chicago in the Roaring 1920s, Miami Beach in the 1950s, New Orleans in the 1920s, and the Pacific South Seas). The company also operates a casino in Croatia near a resort city on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Trans World is in the process of adding hotels to its operations. An investment group led by director Timothy Ewing owns nearly 40% of the company.
